Chickens stirring in the coop

Noticed the Chicken Coop already stirring this morning with six or seven chickens, whites and blacks mixed, a couple still perched while the rest including the rooster stood on the shavings like they were in no hurry.
Virgil's bunch was easy to spot in Pasture 1, four cattle brown and black, three standing near the pines and one lying down in the open dirt. Pasture 2b had four chickens out by the fence scratching, and Pasture 2a showed five goats moseying across the pine needles, mostly white with a brown one. The Inside Barn sat empty under that hanging light.
