Chickens roosting in the coop

Noticed the chickens both inside the coop and out in the run.
Spotlight
A white chicken perched on the roost inside the coop. Several dark ones and some small gray birds were on the shavings below. They filled the coop quietly. Another hen showed long feathers. In the outdoor pen white and black chickens walked near the fence. Kyle belongs with these birds.
Around the place
Several cows were in pasture 1, brown and black coats among the pine trees. Pine straw covered the ground there. They stood in the long shadows. A donkey faced forward in pasture 2a. The barn held no animals, just an empty dirt floor with a lamp above.
