Evenin y'all — Pasture 2a at 5:20 PM had a tan donkey and a white goat moseyin around the pens while a dark cow hung back under the shelter, pine straw everywhere and not much dust kicked up. Over on Pasture 1 around 5:42 PM the hay ring was the whole show: a white cow parked on it, a brown one workin the back bale, two more brown critters off in the trees, and one little goat standin there like it was takin attendance. Chicken Coop at 7:46 PM was a full house — rooster up on the perch, black hens and a white one scratchin the shavings like they paid rent. Inside Barn at 8:53 PM? Empty as a Sunday collection plate, just that lonely bulb and a gate. Pasture 2b at 8:54 PM same story, nobody home but a saggy fence and the night woods.
